Before: An IT manager at a small consulting firm spent around 5 hours every month contacting software vendors to renew licenses for the company’s software. The manager would send emails or make phone calls to the vendors, negotiate renewal terms and pricing, and then update the company’s software inventory database with the new license information.
Now: RPA Bot checks the expiration dates for software licenses in the company’s inventory database and sends a notification to the IT manager 30 days before the expiration date. The IT manager reviews the list of expiring licenses and selects which ones need to be renewed. The Bot then contacts the vendors, negotiates the renewal terms and pricing, and updates the software inventory database with the new license information. This process saves the IT manager several hours of work each month and ensures that the company always has up-to-date software licenses.
